Four row cone

Tapered roll bearing is separating type bearing, the raceway of inner ring and outer ring both are tapered. This kind of bearings can be divided in single row, double row and four row tapered roller bearing etc according to its different structures. Single row roller bearing can bear radial load and single direction axial load. Tapered roller bearing will produce an axial component force when bearing radial load, so it needs another bearing can bear with opposing axial force to balance it.

Basic type 

1.The conical angle of outer ring raceway is between 10°~19°, it can bear the load combine the axial load and radial load. The larger the conical angle is, the greater the axial loading capacity is. Large conical angle bearing is with suffix B, the conical angle is between 25°~29°, it can bear higher axial load. More, single row tapered roller bearing can be adjusted the clearance when installing. 

2.The outer ring or inner ring of double row tapered roller bearing is integral. Narrow end of inner ring or outer ring is close, there is a spacer in the middle of bearing, the clearance of bearing is adjusted by the thickness of spacer, and also can use the thickness of spacer to adjust the pre-interference of double row tapered roller bearing.

3.Four row tapered roller bearing, this kind of bearing has the similar performance with double row tapered roller bearing, compared with double row tapered bearing, its radial loading are higher, limit rotating speed is a little lower, mainly used for heavy machinery.

Design character

Tapered roller bearing is mainly used for combine load of the axial load and radial load. Compared with angular contact ball bearing, it has high load capacity, slower limit rotating speed. Tapered roller bearing can bear the axial load in single direction and also can limit axial displacement for shaft or housing in single direction.
