Angular Contact Ball Bearing

Angular contact ball bearing can bear both radial load and axial load, it can work under high rotation speed. The bigger the contact angle is, the higher the bearing axial load capacity.

High precision or high speed bearings usually select 15°contact angle. Under the axial forces, the contact angle will be increased.

Design Character

Angular contact ball bearing is non-separable type design, the two side width of inner ring shoulder or outer ring shoulder are different. In order to improve the bearing load capacity, one side width of the ring shoulder will be machined narrow so that make the bearings assembled with more steel balls.

1.As single row angular contact ball bearing can only support axial load in single direction, when supporting the radial load, it will produce additional axial load and can only limit the displacement of the shaft and the housing in a single direction.

2.Double row angular contact ball bearing can bear the load combine higher radial load which is also main load with axial load and torque load, limiting the axial displacement of its two sides. Among the parts mainly used to limit the bidirectional displacement between shaft and housing, the inclination between inner ring and outer ring of double row angular contact ball bearing is limited. The allowed inclination angle depends on internal clearance, dimension and internal design of the bearings and also depends on the force and torque on bearing, the maximum allowed inclination angle should ensure there will not produce too much additional stress inside of the bearings.
